However, this navigation processes can be very overwhelming to new parents BUT.... it doesn't have to be.
After years almost 20 years of living in Wake County, serving on the WCPSS Board Advisory Committee, Education Foundation, PTAs and more, Michelle has taken her knowledge, insight and passion and put together resources to help reduce parents stress and navigate the process.

Schools | 2 BASIC Steps
The school navigation/registration process can truly be done in 2 easy steps. Yep, it is that easy!
- Step 1: Find Your School
Enter your current or proposed address at the link above. You will see the base elementary, middle and high school for your address, as well as the calendar schedule, traditional or year round, (see SCHOOLS tab for more info on what the 2 calanders mean) and the transportation that will be provided.
IF your base school is capped (big IF as there are only about 25 out of 198 schools in the county capped), it will say that in your base school look up, as well as tell you which overflow school you are assigned to. *See section on "Capped Schools" under SCHOOLS tab for more info on this.
